We have adopted a stretch of the Bridgwater & Taunton Canal in partnership with the Canal & River Trust.  We have taken on a Pocket Waterway Adoption from the organisation and will look after the canal between Albert Street bridge and Taunton Road bridge in Bridgwater.

The Pocket Waterway Adoption means we can make our stretch of the canal even better for the local community. The Canal & River Trust also provided us with 10 litter pickers and 400 bin bags to use at our events.

The IT company is based in Eastover in Bridgwater and hosts our website for us free of charge. The helpful staff also help us with any IT queries we have linked to the site.

We applied for a charitable donation from Viridor, one of the UK’s leading recycling and waste management companies in Taunton, and we were successful in receiving £173.34 to go towards our litter picking equipment.

With the money we were able to buy 24 litter pickers and 10 bag rings.

Bridgwater Town Council and Clean Surroundings

We applied for a Bridgwater Town Council Westover Ward Initiative Grant and were given £500 to spend on litter picking equipment and marketing materials. We were also given some bin bags and bag rings from council’s Clean Surroundings Service.

A huge ‘thank you’ to all our supporters!
